My top 3 National Trust grounds to visit this summer for family picnics
When you are stuck on ideas with how to keep your children entertained National trust is always my go to catalogue to search for new adventures.
We spend lots of time outdoors walking and love a walk that ends with an adventure playground - who wouldn't?
Here are my Top 3 National Trust walks with beautiful playgrounds to enjoy whilst relaxing with a delicious picnic in the summer sun.
1. Newark Park - Gloucestershire
We visited Newark park earlier this year so we wrapped up warm in our hand made snoods for a day of walking adventures!
From April 22nd Newark park are running a wonderful weather trail where you can explore the garden and discover weather themed activities for the whole family to enjoy. you can then play amongst the wild animal carvings in the wooded play area before moving onto the folly play area, the crinkle-crankle steps, and peek behind the fairy doors.

2. Lacock - Wiltshire
With Lacock being on our doorstep its our go to place when we are short on time but need to get out.
The Abbey gardens are perfect to sit amongst the snowdrops & bluebells for your picnic after spending the morning in the children's play area or on the village playing field which is perfect for a family cricket match or a game of rounders with your friends.
After your picnic lunch you can enjoy a wander around the beautiful village and visit the gift shops on the high street.

3. Woodchester Park - Gloucestershire
My final pick is a park that we will be visiting over the next few days. We are hoping the sunshine will stay and we can take a walk through the wooded valley, hop along the stepping logs and balance beams and then stop off for lunch and maybe treat ourselves to an ice cream. Pictures to follow!
